Visting Cousins Jill and Zack in Boston, Mass.

One of my favorite days was apple picking with my cousin Jill and her son Zack. I had not seen Jill for over 10 years so it was fun getting reacquainted. We found out how much alike were were too! Zack is a cutie and the boys had fun goofing around! The apples were so yummy and the flesh was so white. I have never picked my own apples before. It was a fresh fall day. Love love loved it!

Beautiful sunset on our way back home to Jill's house.

We loved their big doggy Tahoe. He was HUGE, but such a love!

Jill was so generous! We stayed in her big beautiful home and she cooked us delicious home cooked meal. The boys had tons of toys to play with and we had great company:) Thank you Jill

Long Island, New York to Mystic Seaport Conneticut

First stop on Long Island is my birth town, Port Jefferson. I finally got some fresh oysters!

Visiting family in Long Island. Here is Curren and Zane with their cousin Neal.
Me and my Aunt Donna. Uncle Charlie and his son Alec were also visiting , but we forgot to pull out the camera!
Donna sugested that we check out Mystic Seaport in Conneticut. It is the Nations leading Maritme Museum with all kinds of hands on activities. Great day!!

Curren learns how they lifted large barrels by rocking it back and forth until it pops up.

Here we are on the last wooden whaling ship in the world, The Charles W. Morgan

Philly to NYC

In Philadelphia we visited Independence Hall. We were at the site where America began! We stood in the same building where our Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence.

The boys enjoyed being here and learning about this very important part of their of history and Greg finally got to see the Liberty Bell in person!

Now we are in New York and on our way to see the Statue of Liberty.
Entertainment while we wait in long long lines to get on the ferry to Statue of Liberty. We felt like cattle!

We went to Ground Zero, but could not see anything. They only take reservations to see the new memorial and we couldn't get one while we were there. Here is a bronze mural they had across the street. We were able to see the makings of the One World Tower though.
We walked for hours and finally getting some goooood New York pizza!

We stayed with our cousins, Jake and Carissa in a super cute little apartment in East Village. They were so sweet to have all four of us stay with them in. We had so much fun with and can't wait to see them again!
