California Desert ~ Niland, Brawley Joshua Tree and Parker

We visited four California desert towns over the last 2 weeks. These pictures below start with the most resent place visited. We just drove up to Flagstaff, AZ from Parker, CA. We stayed at Parker for almost a week! It was a great place to drop out, hang by the pool and munch on $4 burgers. They had ping pong, mini golf and $1 beer and wine. Felt like a real vacation for all of us! Before that we spent a couple nights in Joshua tree scaling the boulders. So much fun! Teddy is quite a climber too! Before Joshua tree we broke down heading out of the Fountain Of Youth RV park in Niland. We had to get towed backward to Brawley and spent a night in a junk yard. That actually turned out really fun for the boys. The are playing in a broken down golf cart in pic below. Now we are in Flagstaff, AZ spending a couple days here. We are going to add new springs to the RV to raise the bed up and add stability. This Weekend we head for the Grand Canyon! More to come in a couple days. Love and hugs from all of us

Moving at a snails pace...

We have been on the road for six days now and it has been great so far. First we hit Anza Borrego Desert then Slab City and Salvation Mountain. Zane and I got to meet Leonard Knight the creator of Salvation Mountain. What a special man he is! Leonard has dedicated 30 years of his life creating this mountain. The last couple days were spent in Niland, Enjoying The Fountain Of Youth RV park. We enjoyed the heated pools and spas.

Today we head out for Joshua Tree. Sorry about the formatting. I can't seem to figure this out! And with limited internet coverage, I have to take what I can get.

Enjoy the pics.

Final touches and a little but of love....

We are leaving......finally! Final touches are done!

Greg repainted the whole camper and then added faux mud to the sides for an off road flair. Now, we don't have to wash the outside of the camper. Gotta Love that!

He also added our logo to the back. We decided to add the Coexist logo to the flag as well. We are a Christian family, but believe we all live under one GOD. We believe God speaks to us in different ways through different languages, religion and forms. We are always saddened by the fighting in our world, over religion, sexual preferences, politics etc. I hate to say this, but "Can't we all just get along?" I wish it were that easy! Well, we are just going to do our part with living in acceptance and love for all of Gods creatures, not just the ones who fit into our mold.

Blessings!
Hope to see you out on the road.....

Snow in Julian

The boys got to take a little side trip to Julian to enjoy the Sol Cal snow! Beautiful and pristine. The boys stayed with G'Ma for 3 days and got snowed in! I enjoyed the last day with them. So fun making snow angels and snowmen. I love visiting the snow, but dont know if I could live where it snows all winter.

Curren, Zane and Cousin Rusten even made an Igloo. Too cool!
